Towards Organizational Self-awareness: A Methodological Approach to Capture and Represent Individual and Inter-Personal Work Practices

چکیده

Nowadays organizations are subject to constant changes. Most of these are imposed by the need to adequate their way of manage to market demands. To plan and perform them it is necessary to understand organization’s current state, only by perceiving it will be possible to correctly analyze its needs. A significant part of this knowledge is in every single person. They should be aware of their role in organization, as well as the role performed by others. This awareness is described as Organizational SelfAwareness, and is part of the Organizational Engineering discipline. Its goals is to provide organization instruments that allow capturing and representing people’s knowledge of its parts, in order to synchronize their image of the whole. This paper proposes an approach towards organizational self-awareness through, semi-automatic and real time, capture and analysis of individual and inter-personal work practices, as well as their representation using enterprise models easily perceived by people.
